Sherri E. Buzbee, lovingly known as NeNe and Gigi, passed away on June 3, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on December 30, 1958, Sherri became known for her generous heart, unwavering love, and open-door policy that welcomed anyone who needed a place to belong.
To know Sherri was to be loved by her.
She never met a stranger and would help anyone she could without hesitation. Her home was more than just a house—it was a safe haven for an entire generation of children and young adults. Whether someone needed a meal, a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, or simply a place where they felt accepted, Sherri was there. She changed countless lives in ways she may never have fully realized.
Sherri was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Buzbee; her mother, Lela Lozell Willis Hutchison; her beloved niece, Cassie Clark; and her great-nephew, Jacob Falls.
Her greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her son, Cameron Anderson; the children she loved and claimed as her own, Kamryn Haley and Dayton Addison; her granddaughter, Jayla Stephenson; her bonus granddaughters, Ava Haley and Ally Haley; her sister, Tammie Clark, and brother-in-law, Jeff Clark; her niece, Britani Falls, and husband, Wes Falls; along with countless extended family members, friends, and the many people who became family through her love.
Sherri’s heart was one of a kind. She gave love freely, cared deeply, and left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to cross her path. Her kindness, strength, humor, and fierce love will be remembered forever.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that the legacy Sherri leaves behind is one of love, compassion, and acceptance. The lessons she taught, the memories she created, and the lives she touched will continue to live on through all who knew her.
The family asks that you honor Sherri by extending kindness to someone in need, opening your heart to others, and loving people the way she loved so effortlessly. A time of visitation will be from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM and friends will have a time of remembrance at 6:00 PM on Monday June 8, 2026 in the Bell Sumiton Chapel.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
