Mrs. Carolyn Joy McCuller, age 80, of Morrison, TN passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, TN. She was born on April 26, 1946 in Chattanooga, TN to parents Obey Kelley Rich, Sr. and Grace Alma Smith Rich. She attended Erlanger Medical Center and became a registered nurse where she worked for River Park Hospital and home health services. After retiring, she and Edward traveled the U.S. in their RV seeing the beauty in God’s creation. She was a devoted member of Gath Baptist Church. Carolyn was a loving wife and mother and greatly adored her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a talented pianist and clarinet player and enjoyed singing hymns. She would bake and decorate cakes for her family gatherings and birthdays. She was known to everyone as Carolyn but her husband fondly called her Carol.
She is survived by her faithful husband of 58 years Edward Franklin McCuller, Sr., children Edward F. McCuller, Jr. and wife Kellye, James K. McCuller (fiancé Tracy Pressley) and Robin Michelle McCuller Presley, grandchildren James McCuller, Jonathan McCuller (Emma Young), Coby (Caroline) Presley, Blaise Presley, Nathaniel McCuller, Abrielle Presley, and Ian Sage McCuller, bonus grandchildren Jasmine (Danny) Castrillion and their son Joseph, and Heath Presley, great grandchildren Josie B. Presley and Ellington R. Presley, and brother Obey K. Rich, Jr. She is preceded in death by her parents Obey Kelley Rich, Sr. and Grace Alma Smith Rich.
Funeral services for Mrs. Carolyn McCuller are scheduled for 1:00 P.M Wednesday, June 03, 2026 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Ray Gilder will officiate. The Nursing Honor Guard will be present in recognition of Carolyn’s service as a nurse. Interment will follow at Gath Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at 1:00 P.M.
