Obituary of Donald Gene Ray Donald Gene Ray, age 84 of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on May 30, 2026, at Huntsville Hospital. Donald was a Christ follower and a devoted member of New Hope Baptist Church. He was a carpenter by trade and owned Ray’s Vinyl Siding, serving Middle/Southern Tennessee and North Alabama in the wholesale and installation of vinyl siding, windows, and doors. In his spare time and after retirement, Donald loved to travel with his beloved wife Faye; he also enjoyed fishing, working in the garden and spending time with his children, grandchildren, church family, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his Wife, Rebecca Faye Ray; Parents, Jesse Mitchell Ray and Reba Estelle Ray; Brothers, Norman “Odell” Ray; Sisters, Geneva Garner, Teresa Ray

He is survived by his Daughter, Jeannette Ray Davis (Eddy) of Killen, AL; Son, Keith Ray (Sherie) of Killen, AL; Step-daughter, Sandra McMahon of Murfreesboro, TN, Step-son, Alan Franks (Sue) of Spring Hill, TN; Seven grandchildren; Eight Great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The Funeral Service will be at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026 beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Brother Rodney Krick and Brother David Gallaher officiating.

Pallbearers; Dale Ray, Claude Whitsett, Jason Lewis, Jeff Sullivan, Brian Hagan, & Ricky Stone.

Interment will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their appreciation and gratitude to the Greenhill Volunteer Fire Department, Lifeguard Ambulance Services, Med-Flight, and the STICU medical team at Huntsville Hospital.
