Alan ElledgeAlan Ray Elledge, 46, of Green Hill, AL, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at North Alabama Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was a native of Lauderdale County and was born October 6, 1979. Alan was a member of Green Hill First Baptist Church. He was a graduate of the Rogers High School class of 1998, and he excelled academically and in sports. Alan was most proud of the 1997 2A State Track Championship. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a master’s degree in political science from the University of Alabama and a Law Degree from Barry University in Orlando, FL. Upon graduation, he started his criminal defense practice in Florence and Green Hill, AL. For the past two years he has worked in the State Public Defenders office in Montgomery, AL. Alan loved all sports, especially Alabama Football. He loved playing his guitar and his two fur babies, Bobo and Twitch. Alan always had a smile on his face. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Cloyd & Juanita Crosslin and Russell & Mary Elledge. Alan is survived by his wife Christy Elledge; stepson Staley Davis; parents Charles and Mary Elledge, and his brother Ben and sister-in-love Mandy. Visitation will be Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Green Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. Gregg Woodard officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Nathan Killen, Jason McGee, Gabriel Davis, Justin Graves, Matthew Gruber, and Stephen Gremmels. Honorary pallbearers will be Jamie King and Jimmy O’Reilly.
