Linda Carol Houpt, 63, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at NMMC-Tupelo after an extended illness. Born on October 2, 1962, in Pontotoc, MS, Linda spent most of her life in her birthplace. She was a graduate of Manhattan High School in Manhattan, Kansas, and was blessed with many friends throughout her life.
Linda is survived by her sister, Gina Houpt of Pontotoc; her sisters, Kathy Nixon and husband Jimmy, and Carolyn Johnson and husband Chris, both of Ben Wheeler, TX; and her brother, Roger Houpt of Pontotoc. She was preceded in death by her father, Carol Fulton Houpt; her mother, Margie Morphis Brandan; her brother, Jerry Bryant; her sister, Debbie Bryant Alexander; her grandparents, Oren and Janie Houpt, and Osburn and Estelle Morphis; and her nephew, Kevin Bryant.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 2PM at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc, with Bro. James Guet officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday evening from 5-7PM and again on Thursday afternoon from 1PM until the service time. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Gary and Ethan Dobbs, Scott Roberson, John Houpt, and Robin and Peyton Belk.
