Peg Stone, 85, of Albertville passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, May 20, 2026. She is preceded in death by her parents, A.L. and Johnnie Teal. She is survived by her sons Alan (Mellonie), DeWayne (Michelle), and Carey (Scott Garvin) Johnson and Joshua (Wee Kiat Chia) Stone, and grandchildren Anya and Matthew Johnson. Services will be held at Albertville Memorial Chapel Tuesday, May 26. Visitation will be from 9:30am to 10:30am and services will begin at 10:30am. Graveside services to follow at Marshall Memorial Gardens. Flowers may be sent to Albertville Memorial Chapel or, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shepherd’s Cove Hospice in Albertville or Alabama State Poetry Society. Peg was born Peggy Wynette Teal on March 11, 1941 at her parent’s home in the High Point Community. She enjoyed travelling, reading, poetry, spending time with family, and Maxwell House coffee with lots of sugar! We love you, Mama/Memaw, a bushel and a peck!
