Martha Dean Prince Hensley, age 79, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2026, in Memphis, Tennessee.
Born on December 3, 1946, in Iron City, Tennessee, Martha was the daughter of the late William and Mabell Hensley Prince. She was a devoted homemaker whose life was centered around faith, family, and caring for others. Martha was known as a beautiful soul who always found the good in everyone. Her positive spirit, hardworking nature, and loving heart touched all who knew her.
Martha enjoyed gardening and took great pride in caring for her family. She had a special gift for turning everyday moments into games and laughter. She was a master canner and jelly maker and was especially known for making the very best buttermilk pie. Martha was the true example of a traditional woman whose kindness, strength, and devotion will be deeply missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Hensley; two daughters, Kaye Rowland and Tabitha Webb; two brothers, Danny Prince and William Prince; and one sister, Joyce Foster.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory seven grandchildren: Jeremy Prince (Amy), Adam Prince, Michael J. Prince, Shaunda Willcutt, Amy Niesent (Andrew), Angie Ross (Jeremy), and Charity Prince (Jeffery Stubblefield); son-in-law, Terry Lee Webb; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2026, in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with interment to follow in.
The family will receive friends Monday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
