Patricia Ann Schoenfeld Profile Photo  Patricia Schoenfeld was born in Hays KS on December 28, 1951 to Betty Mae and William Phillip Beilman. Patricia’s parents were also from that area but they separated early in her life when they moved to New Mexico. She was raised Catholic in a large family of three brothers and three sisters, and is the second oldest of the siblings.

Patricia met Mike Schoenfeld in Albuquerque while working at the New Mexico National Guard. They agreed to a mixed faith marriage in June 19th, 1971. She was already a nurse and worked in local clinics and hospitals in New Mexico and Nevada, wherever they lived.

She had three sons during the 70’s and 80’s (Ted, Brian, and Mike Jr) and loved being a mother. During that time and after her sons left the home, she loved cooking, home crafts, and teaching her children the many home skills in life they still use today. When they moved back to New Mexico in 1992, she became a Nurse Practitioner (one step short of a doctor) and practiced at UNM Hospital Cancer Center, where she had received treatment for breast cancer.

When Mike retired, she continued to work until 2019, when she finally retired and they both moved to Madison AL to be closer with the grandkids and members of Most Merciful Jesus Parish.

Upon receiving her notification of brain cancer diagnosis in 2023, Mike and Pat briefly returned to Denver CO (where her other sons live) for initial treatment and tumor removal but decided to stay in the Huntsville area, especially for the grandkids and such a wonderful parish community.
