Gloria Jane McCauley Charles peacefully passed away on May 17, 2026, at the age of 88. She was born on August 6, 1937, in Ville Platte, Louisiana, to Shelton McCauley and Elsie Mae Jones.Gloria was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved praying for others, reading her Bible, and singing. Her faith and kindness touched many lives.
She is survived by her children Gwendolyn, Elliot, and Alvin; her sisters Shirley and Cleopatra; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren 2 great great grandchildren ; and many loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her children Emmanuel, Rita, and Laura.
Her legacy will live on through the generations of family she nurtured and the countless memories shared around her.
