LAUDERDALE COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a two-vehicle accident near the Natchez Trace involving a motorcycle has taken the life of a Florence man:
“A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 1:20 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, has claimed the life of a Florence man.
Brad A. McCorkle, 68, was critically injured when the 2024 Harley-Davidson motorcycle he was operating struck the 1999 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Charles R. Crouch, 79, of Waterloo.
McCorkle was thrown from the motorcycle and was transported to North Alabama Medical Center in Florence for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The crash occurred on Lauderdale County 14 near the Natchez Trace Parkway, approximately 10 miles west of Florence city limits, in Lauderdale County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
