Roy Gene Rogers, 65, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026. Visitation will be Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 12:00-2:00 p.m. with the funeral service immediately following in the funeral home chapel. Jeremy Sanderson will officiate the service. The burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Tuscumbia.
Roy was a native and lifelong resident of Colbert County, was an HVAC Technician, and loved Alabama Football and Firearms. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church in Tuscumbia.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, I.C. and Margaret Irene Rogers and sister, Angie Wilbanks.
He is survived by his children, Mitch (Julie), Joe (Emily), Josh (Elizabeth), Amee (Blair), and Matt (Sarah); brothers, Leonard Rogers (Elizabeth), Jimmy Rogers (Denise), and Charles Rogers (Jo); sisters, Mildred Brewer (Johnny) and Lynn Crowden (Scott); eighteen grandchildren who affectionately called him “Poppy”; and bonus children, Devin Battles (Micah) and Jamie Jones (Ericka).
His sons, Mitch, Joe, Josh, and Matt and nephews, Ryan and Andrew Crowden will serve as pallbearers.
