  Clyde Edward Harris Profile PhotoClyde Edward Harris, age 85, husband of Linda Massey Harris, and a resident of Culleoka, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Larry Benderman officiating. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in McCain’s Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Army. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM and again on Thursday from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on February 19, 1941, in the Bigbyville Community of Maury County, Tennessee, Clyde was the son of the late James Lee Harris and the late Pellie Mae Erwin Harris. He graduated from Columbia Central High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army. On December 30, 1963, he married the love of his life, Linda Massey. Clyde worked for Asbestos Workers Local 86 in Nashville for 39½ years before retiring in 1995.

Clyde was a true outdoorsman. He was an avid fisherman and coon hunter, a lifetime member of the Tennessee Trappers Association, a co-founder of the Maury County Farmer’s Market, and a longtime dedicated farmer in the McCain’s Community.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Michael Edward (Angela Batts) Harris, Jonathan Bradley (Valerie Hammack) Harris, Benjamin Clayton (Lora Lewis) Harris, grandchildren, Kayla Elizabeth Harris, Amber Lynn (Jacob Molasy) Harris, John Wesley (Bridget Renee) Harris, James Walker Harris, Chandler (Breanna Davis) Meredith, Avery Braxton (Katie McDonald) Harris, Caleb Lane (Savannah Qualman) Harris, Noah Lewis, Grahme (Tatyana) Lewis, great grandchildren, Marianna Harris, Everly Harris, Maverick “Big Mac” Harris, Madi Blackwell, Jasper Meredith, Loaklynn Meredith, Lynley Marie Harris, Nahkai Lewis, great grandchild on the way, Clyde Michael Harris, sisters and brothers in law, June Wood, Virginia (Carl) Davis, Carolyn Harris, Dennis Bowen, special friends, Stacy Meredith & Phillip Patton, Christy Stapleton, and many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Lane Harris, siblings, Bobby Harris, William Allen “Buddy” Harris, Carolyn Sue Bowen, Margaret Harris, Andy Harris, and brothers in law, Sonny Massey, and Boyd Wood.

Those serving as pallbearers will be John Wesley Harris, James Walker Harris, Chandler Meredith, Avery Braxton, Caleb Lane Harris, Noah Lewis, and Jacob Molasy. Honorary pallbearers will include, Kayla Elizabeth Harris, Amber Lynn Harris, Joe Bell, Carl Pigg, Donald Briggs, Joe Briggs, Duck Sharp, and Judy Beemus.
