Roger Dale Jones, of Ardmore, Alabama, passed away May 11th, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on December 7, 1951, in Ardmore, Alabama, to Willie Thomas Jones Jr. and Pauline Jewel Wales Jones.
Roger was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Beatrice “Lucy” Jones; daughters, Tina Lenore Jones (Carlos) and Laurie Lee Jones McGuire; and son, William Roger Jones (Amanda), and his mother, Pauline Jewel Wales Jones.
Roger was a proud grandfather to Olivia Jewel Norris (David), Madelyn Elizabeth McGuire (Cody Peden), John Tyler McGuire (McKenzie), Jack Thomas Jones, William Max Jones, Sam Edward Jones, and Charlie Ross Jones.
His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren, Dorothy Jane McGuire-Peden, Wesley Roger Norris, and Brooklyn Claire McGuire.
He also leaves behind his sisters, Pamela Jane Barnett (Frank) and Jacquline Diane Lewter (Tim); a host of nieces and nephews; and many members of his adopted treasured family whom he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Thomas Jones Jr.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Central Church of Christ lying in repose from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM with family officiating.
