Carol Weatherby Barker, 82, of Sheffield, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026. There will be a private service held at a later date for the family.
Carol was native of Sheffield. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Carol and her late husband, Allen Dean Barker, owned and operated Photography by Dean Studio for many years. She was a member of Highland Methodist Church where she was the organist for many years.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband; and her parents, Autry and Martha Weatherby.
She is survived by her children, Robin Stansell and Christopher Allen Barker (Ashlyn); grandchildren, Adam Stansell and Lauren Workman; brother, Jim Weatherby; and loving child of heart, Debbie Whitley.
The family expresses special thanks to Happier at Home Aveanna Hospice, especially Lesa Hogan and Jennifer Larder.
