Richard James Meeks, age 41 of Jasper, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Princeton Baptist Medical Center.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Friday, May 15, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, he will lie in state from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Burial will be at Hermon Baptist Cemetery. Josh Mays will officiate.
Mr. Meeks was preceded in death by his Grandmothers-Dorothy Meeks and Juanita Spears; Grandfather-William M. (Buster) Spears; Babies-Titus and Willow.
He is survived by his Wife-Jill Meeks; Mother-Anita Meeks; Father-Ricky Meeks; Daughters-Daisy, Amelia, and Gabriella Meeks; Sons-Raymond, Noah, Leroy, and Gideon Meeks; Sister-Rachel (Robert) and their children Geneva, Judson, Katharina, Isaac, and Ada Heldi; Brother-Russell (Ashley) and their children Elijah and Adalee; Grandparents-Raymond Lesley Meeks.
