FLORENCE-Chloe’s Fund is in dire need of donations! More than normal emergency visits to the Emergency Animal Hospital and over 200 animals confiscated by Florence Lauderdale Animal Services increased their already existing full Shelter – this adds thousands of dollars to a diminishing Fund. We need your help! The end of this week and this weekend, we have two wonderful Yard Sales with all proceeds going to Chloe’s Fund.

*The first Yard Sale is on Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16 from 7am to 1pm at 312 Congress Street, Florence. High quality items; brand new jewelry starting at $1, clothes starting at $1, Home Décor and much, much more.

* The second Yard Sale is also on Friday, May 15 from 4pm-7pm and Saturday, May 16 from 7am to 11am at 103 Castleton Road, Heathrow Subdivision in Florence. Great finds of kid’s toys, glassware and furniture items, etc.!

Donations, no matter the amount would be gratefully appreciated. In addition to the Yard Sales, there are various ways to donate: A check made out to Chloe’s Fund can be dropped off at the Animal Services Building, 3240 Roberson Road, Florence. Venmo is Chloe’s Fund – Nelson or PayPal at Chloesfund2@gmail.com . Donation information is also available on the following Facebook pages; Chloe’s Fund, Friends of Florence Lauderdale Animal Services (which has a calendar for sale) or Florence Lauderdale Animal Services.

Florence Lauderdale Animal Services is also running VERY low on supplies and VOLUNTEERS! A water leak has created an immediate problem; they need small (fleece) blankets, bedding and towels any size (can be used, but must be clean). In addition, paper towels, dry dog food and canned dog food, cat food, kitten food (both wet and dry, no dye in any of the food for dogs or cats, please), and toys, toys, toys!! Animal Services’ Supplies can also be found on the Amazon Gift List under Florence Lauderdale Animals Services.

Due to the legal issues involved with the confiscated animals now at the Shelter, they cannot be adopted. However, there are so many wonderful animals that can be adopted or fostered. Adoption rates have been discounted to $35 for all animals

Chloe’s Fund is a 501(c)(3) organization providing financial aid to assist emergency medical expenses for the Florence Lauderdale Animal Shelter animals and to support Shelter Diversion. It was created in March of 2017 after shelter volunteers, Glen and Debby Nelson lost Chloe, their beloved dog of 16 years. After Chloe’s passing, the Nelsons and their friends set out on a mission to help as many sick and injured Florence-Lauderdale Animal Services animals as possible. Since its inception, Chloe’s Fund vetted and saved the lives of several hundred animals suffering from various illnesses and in need of medical attention.
