Linda Sue Mitchell, 84 of White House passed away Sunday, May 10, 2026 at her home. She was born May 28, 1941 in Erie, Illinois to Homer & Lila Mae Adamson Hardin. She worked in sales for the ITEX Corporation and was a member of The Church of the FirstBorn in Hartsville. She enjoyed cooking and carried food to many over the years and blessed them during sicknesses and times of grief. She loved her church, listening to gospel music and her cell phone. She enjoyed spending time with her family more than anything else. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the apples of her eye. She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Karen Renee Miitchell; 4 brothers, Homer, Bob, Bill & Donnie Hardin; 2 sisters, Catherine Kephart & Wanda Dugan. She is survived by her son, Kent (Alicia) Mitchell, Goodlettsville, TN; daughters, Tami (Mike) Spears, White House, TN and Rhonda (Brian) Philbin, Hendersonville, TN; sister, Rose Jones, White House, TN; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 12pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House, with Tom Slagle moderating. Interment will follow at 3pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with J.T. Vaughn, Evan Dugan, Jack Philbin, Justin Burgess, Brennan Hagood & Josh Norville serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Michael Vaughn. Visitation is planned for Saturday, May 16, 2026 10am until 12 noon at the funeral home.
