One Person Dies, Two Others In Hospital After Head-On- Collision In Dekalb County

DEKALB COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a two-vehicle head-on -collision that has taken the life of one person and sent to others to hospital:

“A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 4:50 a.m. Friday, June 16, has claimed the life an Ider woman.

Ginger G. McBride, 52, was fatally injured when the 2016 Buick Encore that she was driving collided head-on with a 2013 Peterbilt tractor trailer driven by Robert G. Bell, 57, of Chattanooga, Tenn.

McBride was pronounced deceased at the scene. Bell was injured and transported to Dekalb Regional Medical Center for treatment. A 17-year-old passenger in the Buick was also injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The crash occurred on Alabama 75 near the 110 mile marker, approximately two miles north of Cartersville, in Dekalb County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
