THE SHOALS-Saturday January 25th Valley Chiropractic will be hosting the 5th Annual Community Health and Wellness Fair at the Florence-Lauderdale Coliseum. Rachael McGuire started this event 5 years ago in hopes to bring to the community an event where neighbors can come together at a family-friendly event to learn more about their health, take advantage of free health screenings, and to provide demonstrations of fun activities to keep our youth active. Over the years, it has grown to over 30 vendors covering numerous aspects of health. This year there will be free screenings such as glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure, spinal tension & balance testing, vision, and many more. Demonstrations will be offered by local businesses showing Zumba, instructional dance, karate, gymnastics, and
more. Gift bags geared towards health will be given out at the door at 11am to the first 100 adults and the first 50 children.
‘I am excited about this year’s event. It will be larger than last year and we have a lot of new vendors coming out to meet with the community.’ Rachael McGuire states. ‘I hope everyone in search for answers to their health questions have the opportunity to come out and talk to the professionals on hand. Please take advantage of the wonderful free screenings donated by our dedicated local businesses.’
