RUSSELLVILLE-The Franklin County Watermelon Festival began in 1981 and is the largest festival in Franklin County and in year 37 the crowds were bigger and better than ever.
A chance of rain faded quickly and the crowds had a most wonderful time. There was fun, food, rides for the kids some really awesome music and WATERMELON. There was a watermelon seed spitting contest and a melon carving contest and there was even a Watermelon Queen and QCDNews was on hand to capture the fun in photos.
