Jimmy Harper, age 38, passed away on Monday, Oct. 3, 2016, at his residence.
Jimmy was the owner and operator of J.L. Convenience and Bait Store on Hwy 24 in Russellville. He loved fishing and hunting, and above all he loved his family.
The visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, 2016, at Spry Memorial Chapel with Brother Kenneth Dobbs officiating. Burial will be at Bethlehem Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his father, Muriel Louis Harper, and brother, Mike Harper.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Sara McMasters Harper; his children, Layla Rose Harper, Garrett McMasters, and Brandon McMasters; mother, Sarah Harmon Harper; sisters, Kathy Hill, Angela Stevens, and Kristal Kelly; and several nieces and nephews.
The pallbearers will be Jason Skidmore, Johnny Black, Dale Lindley, and David Kennedy.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors and nurses of North Alabama Cancer Center, Bethesda Cancer Center, to his co-workers, vendors, and many friends that have offered love and support during this time.
