Wallace James Parker, 89, of Leighton, passed away July 25, 2012.
Visitation will be Friday, July 27, 2012, from 12-1 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel, funeral services to begin at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel with burial to follow at Colbert Memorial Gardens. Brother Bill Cotton is officiating.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Lila Demasters Parker; son, Larry Wayne Parker; and brother Carlton Parker.
Survivors include his daughters, Camille Parker Yeager (Vic) and Sandra Terry;
Former wife and loving friend, Pauline Parker;
Sisters, Shelby Landers and Mildred Woodard;
Brother, Lloyd Parker (Claireece);
Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren;
Special friends Randy and Susan Riley.
Pallbearers are Larry Riley, Randy Riley, Tyler Haddock, Tyler Howard and Lee Riley.
Honorary pallbearers are J.D. Armor and Victor Yeager.
Parker was a member of Spring Valley Baptist Church, a member of Carpenters Local No. 1209 and a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was a master carpenter who was always a hard worker and great provider for his family.
He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
