3-Vehicle Accident In Tuscumbia Leaves One Person Dead And Several Injured

TUSCUMBIA-The Tuscumbia Police Chief Tony Logan released a statement concerning a 3-vehicle accident that has taken the life of one person with injuries to several other people involved in the accident:

“At approximately 8:24 on Tuesday morning, January 17 the Tuscumbia Police Department received a 911 call of a 3 vehicle crash at the intersection of East 6th and King Street. According to witnesses at the scene observed a Chevrolet Corsica traveling south on King Street and failed to stop for the traffic control device at that intersection. A Ford F-250 traveling west on 6th Street struck the Corsica on the driver’s side of the vehicle. The impact of the crash led those 2 vehicles into the east bound lane of 6th street where they collided with a Dodge Ram 1500 that was east bound on 6th Street.

The driver of the Chevrolet Corsica was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger of the Corsica was transported by Keller EMS to Keller Hospital with critical injuries. At the time of this release her condition is not known.

The driver and passengers of the two trucks received minor injuries. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is assisting in the investigation.

The name of the person killed in the accident has not been released due to the notification of the immediate family.
