MUSCLE SHOALS-On Tuesday afternoon a traffic stop in Colbert County netted at least 10 pounds of marijuana in the backseat of the stopped vehicle.
According to authorities Wendell West was stopped for speeding in Colbert County. Officers

noticed the subject was acting nervous and they detected the smell of alcohol coming from the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle ensued were authorities found the marijuana. West admitted to the 10 pounds of marijuana found in the vehicle. Officers then obtained a search warrant for West’s residence in Franklin County where they discovered more drugs ( around 15 pounds of marijuana) and a gun.
West is facing more charges and is currently at the Colbert County Jail.
