Janice Muriel Brewer Cossey – Obituary

Janice Muriel Brewer Cossey passed away on March 28, 2015 after an extended illness. She was born on August 27, 1947, the third of four children born to James and Muriel Brewer.

She attended high school in Rawlins, Wyoming before her family moved to Long Beach, California where she met her husband Ken Cossey. They moved back to Florence where they had two children, Samantha and Ken Jr. This past January they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were blessed with two grandsons that she loved with her whole heart, and in the last years of her life, two great-grandsons.

She was proud of the years she served at the Florence Police Dept. as the night shift desk officer.

Jan was pre-deceased by her parents, Dub and Muriel Brewer and her adored brother Ray.

She is survived by her husband Ken, daughter, Samantha, son, Ken Jr., grandsons, Rantz Reynolds (Chasdity), and C.J. Tussey, 2 great-grandsons Landon and Riley, sisters, Faye King (Roy) and Jackie Keenum (Talmage) and nieces and nephews.

At her request her final good-bye will be shared by Clay Rikard, her nephew.

Visitation will be Monday, March 30th from 1-2:00p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. A graveside service will be held at 2:00p.m. at Central Heights Community Cem
