Mrs. Velma Nadine Turbyfill, 94, of Florence, passed away November 18, 2014 at Mitchell-Hollingsworth Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was a member of Stony Point Church of Christ.
Visitation will be Friday, November 21, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Stony Point Church of Christ with Brad Adcock officiating. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Stony Point Cemetery.
Mrs. Turbyfill was preceded in death by her husband, William Oscar Turbyfill; daughter, Betty Lou Elmore; sons, Charles Robert and Jerry Lynn Turbyfill.
She is survived by her sons, Donald Eugene Turbyfill of Phoenix, AZ, Tommie Ray Turbyfill of Killen, Ala.; daughters, Clara Dean Johnston, Mary Nell Turbyfill; sister, Kathryn Lansdell all of Florence; twenty-three grandchildren; thirty-six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers will be Steve Lansdell, Michael Lansdell, J.A. Sharp, Scotty Johnston, Joey Johnston, and Doug Elmore.
