FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department released a statement concerning the arrest of a student at Florence High School on Wednesday, March 14:
“On Tuesday March 13, The School Resource Officer at Florence High School received information that a student had a gun. He immediately separated the student from everyone and took him into the office. He was questioned and a firearm was located. There was ammunition located but not in the weapon. The 17-year-old 11th-grader was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. He was turned over to the Juvenile Authorities.”
