  Peggy Stricklin Profile PhotoPeggy Stricklin was born on November 18, 1932 in Hardin County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Murell and Kate Stanfield.

On December 24, 1949, she was united in marriage to Archie Stricklin, who preceded his wife in death on October 4, 2015.

Mrs. Stricklin was a Hardin County resident for most of her life. She lived in Oak Ridge, Tennessee for 4 years and attended high school there during World War II. She was a member of Mount Hermon Baptist Church, Cerro Gordo Home Demonstration Club, and Girl Scouts in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Peggy enjoyed talking on the phone with her friends. She loved her family and her church family dearly. She was baptized at an early age in the Tennessee River.

Peggy Stricklin departed this life on Friday, May 22, 2026 in Savannah, Tennessee, at the age of 93 years, 6 months, and 4 days.

She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Hunt and Kay Rose; sister, Becky Shutt; grandchildren, Jeremy Fielder, Derrick Hunt, Jana Flatt, Joel Hunt, Kelly Rose Crowder, and Dustin Rose; and 10 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Peggy was preceded in death by her brothers, Leon Stanfield and Tom Frank Stanfield.
