DECATUR-The Decatur Police Department’s Organized Crime Unit has been involved in a drug investigation over the last several months.  Here is how the Decatur Police describe events leading up to the arrest of one man:

“SYNOPSIS OF OFFENSE & ARREST:
During the past several months the Decatur Police Department’s Organized Crime Unit conducted an investigation, reference illegal drug sales by Dequinn Montra Bibb. During the investigation, Bibb sold marijuana on two separate occasions. Inv. Hudson obtained two felony warrants for Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance on Bibb.
On 11/24/2014 Decatur Police Department’s Anti-Crime Unit was patrolling in the area of 19th Ave SE. Officer Kitchens observed Bibb standing in the parking lot of the Busy Bee Market located at 1010 19th Ave SE. Officer Kitchens was aware that Bibb had two active warrants for Distribution of a Controlled Substance. Officers made contact with Bibb and placed him under arrest for the warrants.
During the course of the investigation, Bibb was found to be in the possession of a firearm, a quantity of marijuana, and a quantity of prescription medication (Controlled Substance) without a valid prescription. Bibb was transported to the Decatur Police Department where he was processed in.
Bibb was charged with two counts of Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, Carrying a Pistol without a Permit, and Loitering. Bibb will later be transferred to the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $14,000.00 bond.”
