Funeral service for James Wiley Brown, age 78, of Decatur,
will be Friday, May 10, 2013, 1:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel
with Rev. Allen Queen officiating.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 9, 2013,
from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Brown, who died Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at UAB, was born October 31, 1934,
in Wetumpka, to Zeb Brown and Viola Hellums Brown.
He is survived by his loving wife, Valerie Owen Brown of Decatur;
one son, Jeffrey Brown (Paula) of Decatur;
two daughters, Elizabeth Garrison (Dwight) and Elisa Campbell (Tommy), both of Decatur;
two stepsons, Tim Burns (Tammy) and Cody Burns (Lisa), both of Hartselle;
three stepdaughters, Myra Powell (Pat) of Eva,
and Belinda and Retha Tallent, both of Huntsville;
14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Larry Robinson, Pat Powell, Dwight Garrison,
Tanner Garrison, Tim Burns, and Josh Brown.
