Chief Warrant Officer Thomas Daniel Bearden, formerly of Joppa, Alabama, gave his life in service to his country on March 7, 2023 at the age of 43.

CW2 Bearden was born on December 11, 1979 to Thomas Earl Bearden and Deborah J. Flack in Fort Polk, Louisiana. He enlisted into the Coast Guard after graduating from Fairview High School in 1998. The Coast Guard was his life, and he was happy to serve his country. He was married to Kelly Gardner Bearden for 16 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and watching Alabama Football with his sons.

Chief Warrant Officer Bearden leaves behind precious memories to be cherished by his wife, Kelly G. Bearden; sons, Ethan and Sawyer Bearden; mother and step-father, Debbie Bearden and Dwayne Darnell; father and step-mother, Thomas and Tammy Bearden; grandmother, Imogene McKee; step-brother, Travis (Shelby) Darnell; step-sisters, Maggie (Hunter) Hopkins and Jordan (Joey) Martin; aunt, Renee (Terry) Humphries; uncles, Ellis (Christina) Flack and Greg Flack, and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Chief Warrant Officer Bearden is preceded in death by his grandmother, Nellie Bearden; and grandfather, Carl Flack.

A visitation with the family is scheduled for Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Services, officiated by Brothers Terry Hudson, Eldridge Criscoe, and Michael King, will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Ryan Baptist Church in Joppa, Alabama. Burial will follow in the Ryan Baptist Church Cemetery.

The United States Coast Guard will be escorting Chief Warrant Officer Bearden to his final resting place.

Arrangements entrusted to Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
