ATHENS-The City of Athens has several events scheduled for the month of February.

Feb 4th 8:00 am – 9:30 am Coffee Call Veterans of all wars and their families are invited for breakfast and fellowship every 1st Saturday of the month from 8:00AM-9:30AM at the Alabama Veterans Museum and Archive (100 West Pryor Street in Athens). 256-771-7578

Feb 4th – 1:00 – 6:00 pm Chocolate Walk Athens Courthouse Square.
Do you love all things chocolate? If so, you won’t want to miss Athens Main Street’s popular Chocolate Walk. Tickets on Eventbrite.

Feb 4th – 5:00 – 8:00 pm Black History Month Event. Join Three Time Emmy Award Winning Journalist Mr. Chauncy Glover as he speaks about “The Next Generation and What They Are Doing”. Beasley Center. Free. Donations accepted.

Feb 4th – Hunting Season’s Special Youth, Veteran and Active Military Personnel Waterfowl Hunting Day.

Feb 20th – Athens-Limestone Tourism Closed for President’s Day

Feb 25th – Athens Forever Gala hosted by Athens State University. ​
