UPATE: The man that died in the traffic crash on US 72/Hastings Road was identified as Andrue Josiff Olson, 25, of Athens.
ATHENS-Officers from the Athens Police Department responded to a collision today at 12:22 pm. It was on US 72 at Hastings Road. A man on a motorcycle was killed when he collided with another vehicle. This is an ongoing investigation; please avoid the area.
Portions of the highway may be closed for an extended period of time while the investigation is being completed.
