Funeral service for Jody Wood, 35, will be Sunday, August 14, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Rusty Hodges officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, August 14, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Wood died on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born August 25, 1986, in Morgan County, to Jerry Lynn Wood and Vicky Vinson Wood.
He was employed by Industrial Boiler, as a welder, prior to his passing. He was the type of person that didn’t leave without a hug and an “I Love You”. Jody had the best smile, an infectious laugh, had the biggest heart and family was always #1 for him, especially Shaddyx, his son, who had him wrapped around his finger. He was an avid Alabama Football fan and never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Vicky Darlene Vinson Wood.
