Wayne Dozier Engle, 76, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2022 at his son’s residence in Golden. He was born in Hackleburg, AL to Bro. Ather and Nettie Calvert Engle. He was a truck driver for many years and attended Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
Memorial services will be held, Saturday, August 13, 11 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by two children, Rodney Engle (Joyce) and Daphne Shea Traylor (Shannon); five grandchildren, Tanya Goodloe, Austin Engle, Toby Mayhall, Andrew Calton and Chance Traylor and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Williodean Engle on July 6, 2022; his grandson, Rocky W. Engle; his parents; two brothers, Elvis Engle and Houston Engle and one sister, Leona Sartain.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 13, 10-11 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
