Allen Bentley, 70, passed away on June 5, 2022. He was born in Belzoni, MS and had been a resident of the Northwest Georgia area for the last thirty years. He was owner operator of a small convenient store for twenty of those years before becoming an owner operator in the trucking business. Allen loved spending time with his grandchildren. He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed teaching his grandchildren about it.
Graveside services will be Thursday, June 9, 4 p.m. at Ridge Cemetery, Golden, MS. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his children-Jennifer Peace (Randy) and Chris Bentley (Denise); grandchildren- Zeb Cauthen, Zoe Cauthen, Bentley Peace and Heather Bentley; two great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-Mary Sue Millwood, Vester Bentley, Opal Peters, Dianne Bentley, Ruthie Reiman, Larry Bentley and James Bentley.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Linda Bentley and his parents, Bofford & Annie Mae Bentley.
