Samuel “Cigar Sam” Brandon Dement age 77 of Athens, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Athens Convalescent and Rehab Center. Mr. Dement was born May 7, 1935 in Limestone County to Samuel Brandon Dement Sr. and Vivian Riggs Dement.
Services for Mr. Dement are Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 5, 2013 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery with Pat Lawrence officiating.
He is survived by his son, Wayne Brandon Dement and wife Nancy; son-in-law, Cory McCarver.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Brandon Dement Sr. and Vivian Dement; 1st wife Nettie Ruth Dement; 2nd wife Louise Dement; son, Ricky Dement; daughter, Jennifer McCarver.
