Our precious mother, Anna Mary Farris, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021.
Mary was an exceptional wife and mother. She cared deeply for her family, friends, and neighbors. She loved unconditionally! She did this not out of obligation, but because of who she was. She was always the first to offer help to those in need.
She devoted her life to her children, working 2 full time jobs to provide for family. Mary is survived by her son, Fred Taylor (Sylvia), daughters Jennifer Cartwright (William) and Stacy McRee (Travis). Grandchildren Julie Dimitro, Logan Mayer, Lindsey Mayer, Skylar Turner, Cheyenne Turner and 2 great grandchildren Wyatt and Harper Jones. Brothers Starlin Reeves (Bonnie), Timmy Reeves (Patricia), Dale Reeves (Vickie), Paul Mansell (Patricia), and Silas Mansell. One sister, Kimberly Little (Arthur). Loved by many nieces and nephews as well as those she “adopted” as her children.
She was predeceased by her mother Mary Mansell and husband Harry Farris.
Mary never wanted to be the center of attention, therefore her services will be private for family members only and will be announced at a later date.
Friends wishing to honor Mary are invited to make a donation in her name to their favorite charity.
Her family thanks the staff of Southern Comfort New Beacon Hospice and the 2nd and 4th floor staff of Decatur General Morgan Hospital.
