William Patrick Carroll, age 40, passed away Monday, December 14, 2020 at St. Thomas West in Nashville, TN. Will was born September 6, 1980 in Nashville, Tennessee to Randy Carroll and Joanne Smith Carroll.
Will was a driven person whose drive allowed him to gain a great deal out of this life even though his years were cut short. Though fiercely independent and self-sufficient, Will was a people person who valued relationships with family and friends. He was extremely outgoing and was never afraid to build bonds with those he met; nor was he afraid of hard work. His first job was at a reindeer farm in Palmer, Alaska and he later had jobs from waiting tables in Arizona, to farming on his grandmothers’ farm in Tennessee. After attending the University of Idaho and Arizona State University, he became a project manager in the IT field, but never hesitated to offer a helping hand at any task that needed doing.
When Will wasn’t working, he was likely off someplace exciting and enjoying an adventurous activity such as skydiving, scuba diving, snow skiing and even backpacking across Europe. There can be no doubt that he totally enjoyed experiencing all that life had to offer while making friends along the way. He was the kind of person you were lucky to have as a friend, and blessed to have as family. Will was exceptional in so many ways; he was deeply loved and will be dearly missed as the kind and loving person that he was.
Will is survived by his parents: wife: Lauren Rock Carroll; two sisters: Kasey Carroll and Trystan Carroll; three brothers: Levi (Caleigh) Carroll, Brian Oenga, and Harvey Kanayurak; and aunt: Carolyn (Charles) Ring; Billy (Patsy) Carroll; a niece: Emerie Carroll; and three cousins: Gina Carroll, Jeff Carroll, and Jason Weaver. He was preceded in death by two sets of grandparents, William and Betty Carroll, and Harold and Francis Smith; and a cousin, Kevin Weaver.
The family will celebrate the life and memory of William Patrick Carroll in mid-January. The details of this memorial service will be announced at a later date.
