Mrs. Martha Louise Essary, age 82, of Vernon, AL, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus.
Mrs. Essary was born July 17, 1938, in Fayette, AL, to the late John and Essie Nelson. She was a homemaker and was married to the later Billy Jack Essary. Mrs. Essary was also preceded in death by her grandson, Jerron Barnes; two brothers, James Edward Nelson and Jack Nelson; and three sisters, Connie Duckworth, Vaudine Phillips, and Lorene Terry.
There will be a private family service at a later time.
Survivors include her daughter, Tina (James) Barnes of Vernon, AL; one grandson, Jaeger Barnes of Vernon, AL; one brother, Grady (Sue) Nelson of Hammond, LA; one sister-in-law, Ava Dean Nelson of Winfield, AL; and a host of nieces and nephews.
