Rena Mae Kimbrough

Mrs. Rena Mae Kimbrough, 85, of Hazel Green went to be with the Lord on Tuesday while at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Limestone County on July 27, 1935 to Ernest & Virgie Whiteley.  Mrs. Kimbrough was a member of Charity Baptist Church and was a faithful Christian, loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She loved going to church, watching her birds, taking care of her family, her phone calls with her sister, Pattie, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest & Virgie Whiteley; Two sons: Dewayne Kimbrough and Gary Kimbrough.

Surviving family members include her husband of 68 years, Clyde Kimbrough;  Her son,  Steven Kimbrough; Her son and daughter-in-law, Lary & Dorothy  Kimbrough; Her grandchildren:  Kevin Kimbrough, Samantha Layne, Scott Kimbrough, Andrew Kimbrough, and Jacob Kimbrough;  Her great-grandchildren:  Taylor Kimbrough, Caden Kimbrough, Jace Kimbrough, Addie Kimbrough, Lawson Clyde Kimbrough, Kaylee Piche, and Bryleigh Layne;  Her loving sister, Pattie Lou Isbell Bates;  She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5 until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home.   Funeral services will be Friday at 11am at the funeral home with graveside services following in New Sharon Cemetery.

Casket bearers for the service will be Scott Kimbrough, Andrew Kimbrough, Jacob Kimbrough, Kevin Dewayne Kimbrough, Kevin Kimbrough, Randy Isbell; Honorary bearers will be Caden Kimbrough, Taylor Kimbrough, and Jason Layne.
