Eddie Joseph Blunt, 61, died Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Red Bay, AL, was a factory worker for forty years and was of the Baptist faith.

Graveside services will be Saturday, July 4, 11 a.m. at Red Bay City Cemetery, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Robbie Crane officiating. Burial will be in Red Bay City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-four years – Rita Sheryl Blunt; two sons – Brandon Blunt (Chana) and Tony Rogers (Tiffany); two daughters – Tonya Dillard (Michael) and Laura Rogers; five grandchildren – MaKenna Gober, Jadi Rogers, Cayden Rogers, Aleigha Stidham and Braylie Stidham; three brothers – James Franklin Blunt (Thelma) and Danny Ray Blunt, both of Tishomingo, MS and Ronald Keith Blunt (Susie) Adel, GA and three sisters – Carolyn Sammons (Alvis), Tishomingo, MS, Hazel Walters (Bruce) Orlando, FL and Sarah Ferrell (Harold) Smyrna, TN.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Lois and Herman Blunt, a brother, Tommy Oscar Blunt and two sisters, Rebecca Francis Blunt and Martha Blunt.

Pallbearers will be Tony Rogers, Brandon Blunt, Mikey Mauldin, Michael Dillard, Don Spencer and Wayne Enlow.

Visitation will be Friday, July 3, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL
