TUSCUMBIA-On Wednesday, May 13 the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency report the death of a Haleyville man who dieid on Saturday, May 9 from injuries in a two-vehicle accident that occurred on Wednesday, April 29:
“A two-vehicle crash at 10:40 a.m. on 4/29/2020, has claimed the life of a Haleyville man.
A 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix, driven by 81-year-old Jack Kemp, W/M, of Haleyville, AL, was struck by a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze, driven by 71-year-old Elizabeth Vandiver Hester, W/F, of Tuscumbia, AL, causing the eventual death of Kemp.
Kemp was initially flown from the scene to Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama. Mr. Kemp died of his injuries on 5/9/2020 at 6:35 p.m. and was pronounced by medical staff of Huntsville Hospital.
The crash occurred on US 43 at the intersection of County Road 61, approximately 4 miles south of Tuscumbia. No further information is available.”
