NOTE: The Alabama Department of Public Heath raised the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 1,105 as of 5:30PM on Wednesday, April 1 with 28 reported deaths and 17 confirmed deaths in Alabama.

BIRMINGHAM – U.S. Senator Doug Jones (D-Ala.) has released the following statement regarding the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s new COVID-19 daily symptom tracker, which is a free, voluntary survey that tracks the spread of coronavirus symptoms in communities across the South:

“This new daily symptom tracker will help public health officials track the spread of COVID-19 and identify coronavirus hot spots that need more resources, especially in Alabama’s underserved communities,” “We all have to do our part to keep ourselves and the people around us healthy by participating in social distancing and having good hygiene, and this tool is another way to help our communities combat the spread of this virus.”
