Franklin D. Thompson, age 81, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020 at his residence. He was a native of Leoma, TN, retired from Murray Ohio, and of the Baptist Faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Thompson; his mother, Stella Ball Bradford; two sisters, Olee White and Onie Manning; and one brother, Arthur Thompson.
He is survived by one son, Danny Thompson of Lawrenceburg, TN; four daughters, Benda Eslick of Lawrenceburg, TN, Marcella Thompson Fralix of Ethridge, TN, Tonya Thompson of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Marissa Dunkin of Lawrenceburg, TN; two brothers, Donnie Thompson of Waynesboro, TN and Lee Jackson of AL; four sisters, Andrea Reed of Lawrenceburg, TN, Ann Briley of AL, Rendy Matlock of MS, and Fay Hunt of Summertown, TN; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and in accordance with Governor Bill Lee’s Executive Order No. 17, a private graveside service will be held at a later date.
