Joseph Leon Scrivner, age 90, of Double Springs, AL. passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at Hendrix Healthcare in Double Springs. He was a member of Kelly Mill Church Baptist Church.
Visitation is Friday, February 21, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Kelly Mill Baptist Church, Double Springs. Funeral service is Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 12:00 noon at Kelly Mill Baptist Church with Bro. Donnie Dodd officiating. He will lie in state at the church before the service from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon. Burial to follow in New Hope Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Zac, Sam, Luke, Levi, Alec, Jason and JoJo.
He is survived by his wife, Lois L. Scrivner; children, Patricia Ann (Mitchell) Turner,
Terry Leon Scrivner, Billy Joseph (Tammy) Scrivner and Ruby Lynne (Gene) Fox; brother, Jerry Allen Scrivner and sister, Jean Oswalt; 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren.
Joseph was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby Nell Scrivner; mother, Ila Nichols Scrivner; father, Lee Scrivner; sisters, Louise Hocutt, Faye Holcomb, Jane Belcourt and Betty Simmons; great great granddaughter, Emmalee Alexander.
