Joseph Howard “Joe” Dickinson, Jr. age 72 of Hackleburg, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at his residence.
He was born March 23, 1947 to Joseph H. , Sr. and Ruby H. Dickinson. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and drag racing. Joe was a hard working man who loved his family and friends, and was loved by all who knew him.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 13, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where the service will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. . Burial will be at Millstone Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. Brother Johnny Gunter will officiate.
Joe is survived by his loving wife, Vicki Dickinson; children, Joanne (Patrick) Townsend, Joe Dickinson III, Travis Dickinson, and Samantha (Wesley) Tucker; sister, Linda Gail Alexander; brothers, Jimmy Wayne Dickinson, Curtis A. Dickinson, James Marcus Dickinson, and Billy Hugh Dickinson; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gene Allen Cummings, Harold Buford Cummings, and Thomas Lee Dickinson; and sister, Catherine Ann Estill.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Townsend, Wesley Tucker, Keith Stults, Bob Rollins, Johnny Willis, and Steve Pickins.
