Mrs. Rachel Parker Dothard Mrs. Rachel Parker Dothard, age 84, of Arab, Alabama, passed from this life on Sunday, January 19th, 2020 at Barfield Healthcare.

Mrs. Dothard was born in Murray County, Georgia on October 30th, 1935, to the late Thomas Gideon Parker and Sarah Lee Ballew Parker, after obtaining her high school diploma Rachel became a production line employee for Eaton-Cutler Hammer and years later retired her position with the company. Mrs. Dothard was a member of the Arab First United Methodist Church.
On Wednesday, January 22, 2020, there will be a visitation to honor Mrs. Dothards life at Nances Creek Baptist Church in Piedmont, Alabama, from 11:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.

Mrs. Dothard is survived by her son, Mark Dothard (Twila); daughters, Debbie Black (Sam), Karen Reynolds, and Myra Chandler (Wayne); brothers, Larry Kilgore (Pat) and David Parker (Debbie); sister, Linda Sorrells (David); grandchildren, Andrea Black, Leslie Black, Zack Dothard, Chase Reynolds (Whitley), Chandler Reynolds (Marie), and Shellie Jackson (Teddy); great grandchildren, Zoe and Zane Jackson as well as Eli Reynolds.

In addition to her parents, Rachel is preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Boyce Dothard.

A Graveside Service for Mrs. Dothard will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Nances Creek Cemetery with Reverend Nicky James officiating, Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.
