Lynn Daniel Honeycutt, age 76 of Nauvoo, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at St. Martin’s in the Pines. He served two years in the U.S. Army in South Korea. He was employed 39 years with Alabama Power and was a lifelong member of West Walker Church of Christ. He loved hunting and fishing.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at Walker Memory Gardens. Jerry Murrell and Ben Wright will officiate.
Mr. Honeycutt was preceded in death by his Father-O.D. Honeycutt; Mother-Leonese Pike Honeycutt; Wives-Virgie “Sally” Kilgore Honeycutt; Betty Sue Gurley Busby Honeycutt; Brothers-Owen Honeycutt and Jimmy Honeycutt; Sisters-Mary Guthrie and Wilma Buckalew.
He is survived by his Daughters-Sherry Jo Honeycutt Murrell (Jerry) of Jacksonville, FL, Leta Ann Honeycutt Phillips of Gulfport, MS, Renea Busby Lawson of Jasper, AL; Sons-Kerry Lynn Honeycutt of Hamilton, AL, Danny Busby (Robin) of Jasper, AL, Greg Busby (Darlene) of Jasper, AL, Kenny Busby (Kristie) of Jasper, AL; Sisters-Betty Teaford and Sandra Snow; Brothers-Donald Honeycutt, Billy Ray Honeycutt and J.B. Honeycutt; Brothers-in-law-Giles Gurley (Julia) and Jimmy Kilgore (Flora); Sister-in-law-Vircie Griffin (Pete); Grandchildren-Katherine Marie Murrell Phillips (Ethan), Corinne Renae Murrell, Kevin Jacob Honeycutt, Jake Koltin Honeycutt, Ethan Garrett Phillips, Eli Gannon Phillips, Brandy Busby Richardson (Kevin), Jenna Busby Keeton (Adam), Taylor Busby, Nick Lawson (Natlie), Sarabeth Lawson Simon (Josh), Savannah Busby, Paige Busby, Seth Edwards; Great Grandchildren-Asher David Phillips, Elora Rose Phillips, Averie Richardson, Charlie Richardson, Rylan Keeton, Hadleigh Keeton, Ava Claire Keeton, Hazel Simon, Lexi Hall; Multiple nieces and nephews.
