Barbara Ann Prather, 81, of Iuka, MS, died Thursday, November 07, 2019, at North Mississippi Medical Center Inpatient Hospice in Tupelo. Mrs. Prather was a member of Iuka Baptist Church. She was a longtime cosmetologist and was the former owner of Kut & Kurl Beauty Shop in Iuka. She enjoyed working outside doing yardwork and gardening. She also enjoyed sewing and cooking for others. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Prather of Iuka; four children, Deb Daniel (Jack) of Iuka, Pam Wolfe (Mark) of Savannah, TN, Tony Prather (Zenia) of Iuka, and Chris Prather (Teresa) of Phoenix, AZ; two sisters, Norma Metzler of Iuka, and Brynda Johnson of Cherokee, AL; six grandchildren, Cassie Cox (Zac), Callie Blackwell (Garreth), Anna Page Wolfe, John Mark Wolfe, Ailish Prather, and Priscilla Jacobs; and three great-grandchildren, Penny Lane Blackwell, Daniel Blackwell, and Carter Handy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rex and Pauline Yarber Rutherford. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 10, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Buddy James.
